Not sure what size your tumbler design should be? Use our free tumbler size calculator to work out a suitable canvas size for sublimation, vinyl and Cricut projects.

Simply measure the circumference and printable height of your tumbler, enter the measurements below, and the calculator will give you the recommended design size in inches or centimetres, along with handy 300 DPI pixel dimensions for PNG and sublimation projects.

1 Choose Your Project

Choose Full Wrap if your design will cover most or all of the printable area around a straight-sided tumbler.

Choose Front Decal if you are adding a logo, quote, name or smaller design to the front of your tumbler.

2 Measure Your Tumbler

For a straight-sided tumbler, you only need two measurements:

Circumference: Measure all the way around the tumbler.

Printable height: Measure only the area you want to decorate, excluding the rim and base.

Tip: Always measure the actual tumbler you are using. Dimensions can vary between manufacturers.

At 300 DPI:
2850 × 2475 pixels

Suggested physical size:

Width: 3.24–4.16 in

Height: 4.00–5.60 in

At 300 DPI:

If you’re working with a PNG for sublimation, the 300 DPI dimensions are particularly useful.

A front decal does not need to fill the entire printable area. The calculator gives you a useful starting range based on the circumference and height of your tumbler.

Design shape matters: a wide quote may need to be shorter, while a narrow vertical name may work better with more height.

If you’re using an SVG for vinyl, use the physical dimensions. If you’re using a PNG for sublimation, use the 300 DPI pixel dimensions as your starting canvas size.
