Cut That Design Licensing Terms

When downloading any free design from Cut That Design, you agree to the terms below.

All files available from Cut That Design are free for both personal and commercial use, subject to the restrictions set out in these terms.

Personal and Commercial Use

You may:

  • Use our designs for your own personal projects.
  • Use our designs to create physical products for sale.
  • Use our designs on items such as T-shirts, mugs, tumblers, signs, cards, stickers and other physical products.
  • Alter, resize, recolour or combine our designs as part of your own finished project.
  • Use the designs for both personal and small business commercial projects.
  • Sell physical products that you have created using our designs.

You Must Not

Under any circumstances, you must not:

  • Resell, redistribute or share our original digital files.
  • Repackage our files and offer them for download, whether free or paid.
  • Upload our designs to file-sharing websites, marketplaces, design libraries or similar services.
  • Sell or redistribute our designs in SVG, PNG, DXF, EPS, PDF, embroidery or any other digital file format.
  • Convert our designs into another digital format and sell or distribute the converted file.
  • Create derivative digital files from our designs for the purpose of resale or redistribution.
  • Include our original design files within digital bundles, collections or download packs.
  • Resell, sublicense or transfer the licence to another person or business.
  • Claim our original designs as your own artwork.
  • Use our designs in harmful, pornographic, hateful, discriminatory or otherwise offensive material.

Physical Products

Commercial use applies to finished physical products created using our designs.

For example, you may use a Cut That Design SVG to create and sell:

  • T-shirts
  • Hoodies
  • Mugs
  • Tumblers
  • Signs
  • Cards
  • Decals
  • Stickers
  • Gifts
  • Home décor
  • Other finished physical craft products

The digital design itself must not be supplied to your customer as part of the sale.

Print-on-Demand

You may use our designs on physical products that you create and sell.

If you use a third-party printing or fulfilment service, the design must only be supplied to that service for the purpose of producing your finished product. The third party must not be given any rights to resell, distribute or otherwise reuse the original design.

Digital Products

Our designs may not be resold or redistributed as digital products.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • SVG files
  • PNG files
  • DXF files
  • EPS files
  • Digital papers
  • Clipart collections
  • Printable design packs
  • Embroidery files
  • Digital templates
  • Design bundles

Changing the file format, colour, size, wording or other elements does not give you the right to redistribute the resulting digital file.

Crediting Cut That Design

Credit is appreciated but is not required when using our designs on permitted physical products.

Copyright

All original designs remain the copyright of ESI Designs and Cut That Design, unless otherwise stated on the individual design page.

Downloading a file gives you permission to use the design under these licence terms. Copyright ownership is not transferred to you.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or amend these licensing terms at any time.

Any use of designs downloaded from Cut That Design must comply with the licence terms applicable to those designs.
