Unzipping SVG Files on a Mac
Before you can use our cutting files in Silhouette Studio or Cricut Design Space, you need to unzip them. This guide shows you how to unzip SVG Files downloaded from our site on a Mac. If you are using a Windows PC, see our guide to unzipping our SVG Files in Windows.
Step 1
Find the file you downloaded from our site on your Mac. This could be in the downloads folder.
Step 2
Right click on the downloaded file and Choose Open With > Archive Utility.
Step 3
You will see a folder created with the name of the downloaded file, double click this to open it.
Step 4
You will now be able to see all the files within the Zip File, this should be SVG, EPS, DXF and PNG.
You should now be able to open these with the software your cutting machine uses. Remember for Silhouette Studio, you need the Designer or Business Edition to open an SVG. You can instead use the DXF file included in all of our downloads.
