Select the bitmap copy, then go to View>Display mode>Outline. The image will now be covered with red X.

Step 6: Make the SVG File

With the image still selected, go to ‘Path’ then move ahead to ‘Trace Bitmap’, or you can select Shift+Alt+B on the keyboard. A dialog box will pop up, click update, and then OK.

Step 7: Save the File

Close the dialog box and then move the red X from the traced bitmap image and delete it. The image which remains is the SVG file; save the file.

Step 8: SVG Image

Your work doesn’t end at saving the file, and you have to convert it into an SVG image. For that, you can use SCAL software. First, choose File>Import SVG designs and then select the SVG silhouette you saved earlier.
